Bayshore Broadcasting News has learned the City of Owen Sound is about to receive even more federal funding.
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller has called a news conference with Huron Bruce MPP Carol Mitchell for 9 o’clock Monday morning on the steps of City Hall.
It is expected the federal and provincial governments will announce funding for a new wastewater treatment plant in the City.
That project is estimated to cost over 40 million dollars.
In the last week — Owen Sound has received nearly 22 million dollars in funding to construct a new multi use recreation centre.
The City will also see a new Alexandra school constructed after the Bluewater public board received 6.3 million dollars from the Ministry of Education.
