Construction in Brockton is at a stand still and that is frustrating the Mayor.
There are a number of proposed developments that haven’t gotten underway as they await approval from Saugeen Conservation.
Mayor Charlie Bagnato says he understands that they have a very important job to do and supports them each year.
But he says they are failing the municipality at this time.
He notes that Brockton recently paid out 86 thousand dollars to Saugeen Conservation for flood plain mapping and a portion of their 2009 general levy.
Bagnato says one of the developments — the Spitzig subdivision — did get approved after Saugeen Conversation completed their reports.
But he says they are still waiting for approvals on several other applications.
Bagnato says the situation they are at with construction is the same as it was in February which is nothing.
He says they only have a 4 to 5 month window where they can get some actual work done.
