Police have finalized the details about a fatal fire in Collingwood last year.
On June 14th 2008, a fire broke out just before 10 PM in a townhouse in the Matthew Way complex.
A man and a woman found inside the house were taken to Collingwood’s hospital, but the woman couldn’t be revived.
Collingwood OPP now ID the victim as 66 year old Sharon MacDougall.
Her 46 year old husband was airlifted to hospital in Hamilton but has since recovered.
The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office tells Bayshore Broadcasting news the fire was caused by a stove element that had been left on.
