Two neighbouring Grey County municipalities are getting together to sort out issues.
There is a meeting in the works between the City of Owen Sound and the Township of Georgian Bluffs that is tentatively schedule for the end of June.
Owen Sound Mayor Ruth Lovell Stanners says they will get together to discuss matters of mutual interests or concerns that can be worked out.
She says they will also discuss areas that the two municipalities can share like servicing.
Lovell Stanners says one issue that seems to be tricky is the area of planning.
Recently Owen Sound was in opposition to Georgian Bluffs plan to change the boundaries in Springmount.
She says it is those kinds of issues that make it an awkward relationship.
She hopes to resolve those issues at the meeting.
Georgian Bluffs Mayor Alan Barfoot says it has been a year since their last meeting with Owen Sound.
He says as neighbours it was time to proceed in discussing mutual topics.
Barfoot says there won’t be too much discussion about the Sunset Strip.
He says there are other issues that are more pertinent than that one.
The date of the meeting and the agenda have not yet been set.
