Beach Area 1 in Wasaga Beach is now home to some baby piping plovers.
All 4 eggs in nest 1 have now hatched.
Plover Coordinator Kim Jaxa-Dibicki says the eggs just hatched at 11:45 AM Wednesday.
She says they are scrambling, and are all headed down to Beach Area 1.
Jaxa-Dibicki says the meeting they held last Thursday was a great success, and there were lots of interested people there wanting to help out with the plover program.
She says the eggs in the second nest won’t be hatching too soon.
That nest is expected to have chicks in the last week of June.
