A very special parade at the Land Force Central Area Training Centre in Meaford.
Today will mark the Change of Command ceremonies as Lieutenant Colonel Robert Kearny moves on to the Joint Task Force Central Headquarters in Toronto overseeing all operations for the Canadian Forces in Ontario.
Kearney says he’ll be heavily involved in G-8 summit planning.
Taking his place as Commanding Officer in Meaford will be Lieutenant Colonel Daryl Mills.
About 150 soldiers will be taking part in the Change of Command Parade at 1 PM this afternoon.
