The Saugeen Shores Business Enterprise Centre has a new home.
Manager Jill Roote says they’re now located in downtown Port Elgin at 559 Goderich Street, part of the Chamber of Commerce location.
Roote says before this past March, they were located in the municipal offices of the town but wanted to be more in the business district that they serve.
A special grand opening/open house was held yesterday.
Roote says their mandate is to help business people develop a working plan for a new business and to help established businesses become stronger and grow.
She says they even do one-on-one sessions to help whoever needs it.
Roote says the service is free.
She says their new office has a resource library and a public computer for research.
They even have templates for those wanting to create business cards or to create a business plan.
Roote says they’re located in Saugeen Shores but their business visitation program takes them throughout Bruce and Grey counties.
She says they recently visited Tobermory talking to business people there about the services being offered by the centre.
Roote says she realizes that many businesses don’t know they exist but they’re hoping this move to the downtown core of Port Elgin will change that.
