Constable Susan Hatt of the Saugeen Shores Police is about to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime assignment.
In a news release — the Saugeen Shores Police Service Board has accepted her request to assist in security at the 2010 Olympics next winter in British Columbia.
Police Chief Dan Rivett says the commitment is for 30-days but the venue Constable Hatt will be policing has not been confirmed.
The municipalities supplying officers would be compensated 100 per cent for all expenses and salary.
Recently two officers from the Hanover Police Department were also named to the Olympic force — Constables Michael Boyko and Ian Sanderson.
