If your name is not Darrell Byers you didn’t win the East Side Mario’s draw for 2 NHL playoff tickets.
The 26 year old Owen Sound man was the BIG winner in the contest held across Eastern Canada.
Byers name was drawn from thousands of ballots filled out by patrons of the restaurant chain.
He wins 2 tickets to the Eastern Conference final between Carolina and Pittsburgh this Saturday night in North Carolina, airfare , accomodations and one thousand dollars in spending money.
Byers collected his prize on Thursday at the Owen Sound East Side Mario’s.
He tells Bayshore Broadcasting News it’s an exciting win and he has some 30 BEST new friends who want to join him at the Game.
The Owen Sound investment advisor says he filled out 6 or 7 of the ballots over the last few weeks.
When he heard about the win, Byers thought it was a spam e-mail.
East Side Mario’s also gave away 2 NHL Western Conference final tickets to a winner in Calgary.
