There is a local connection to a suspect charged in the murder of 8 year old Tori Stafford of Woodstock.
A woman from Hanover dated the man charged with first degree murder.
Jennifer Etsell — a single mother who lives in Hanover — dated Michael Rafferty a couple of years ago.
The 28 year old Rafferty is charged with first degree murder in the death of Tori Stafford.
Etsell met Rafferty through an online dating service in 2006.
Etsell claims he never had any money, she always had to pay for things and Rafferty was always very secretive and started lying about things.
The Hanover woman says Rafferty was had aggressive sexual interests.
Etsell ended the relationship after two thousand dollars disappeared from her bank account.
Rafferty lived in Guelph when he dated Etsell — and that is where police are searching for Tori’s body.
