Good Samaritans are responsible for pulling a woman from a burning vehicle in the Blue Mountains.
The motorists noticed smoke coming from a deep ditch on the side of Grey Road 19 near the Sixth Line around 12:45 PM Monday.
The drivers stopped and noticed a vehicle with the female driver trapped inside.
Police say the two people risked their own lives through “belching black smoke” to rescue the woman by smashing the vehicle windows with a tire iron.
The woman was airlifted to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto — no word on her condition.
The Blue Mountains Fire Department attended the scene and put the fire out.
Collingwood Blue Mountains OPP are still investigating the crash.
