Efforts are underway in Saugeen Shores to develop an organization that encourages environmental sustainability.
Environmental activist Victoria Serda, who also is a Saugeen Shores Councillor is behind the efforts.
She says it would be a charity that supports community development by tying economic, environmental, social, and cultural aspects together.
Serda says the efforts aren’t connected to any other organization, but is just a like-minded group of people wanting to encourage sustainable community development in Saugeen Shores.
She says it will be a not-for-profit organization and will allow community members and organizations receive funding for projects that encourage environmental sustainability.
