A long weekend means fireworks for many.
They begin at dusk at the Saugeen Amphitheatre on Highway 21 — northeast of Southampton tonight.
The display is the traditional kick off to the summer, features thousands of dollars worth of fireworks, and is expected to last about half an hour.
A nominal admission fee of five dollars a person, or 20 dollars a family, goes towards purchasing a defibrillator for the Saugeen First Nation Fire Department.
Hamburgers, hot dogs and soft drinks will also be available at the Ampitheatre entrance.
Meanwhile, there are no fireworks for Victoria Day weekend in Wasaga Beach.
The town’s Chamber of Commerce says there won’t be any fireworks lighting up the sky for the long weekend.
