The Saugeen Conservation Authority has received a motion from Saugeen Shores Council suggesting some changes be made to how the agency is set up.
Councillor Luke Charbonneau, who also represents the town on the conservation authority board, says the motion suggests the potential of merging with other conservation authorities or aligning services with other agencies or other levels of government be considered during the strategic planning process.
Charbonneau says there was not a lot of discussion about the motion and it was referred to the strategic plan project.
Charbonneau says they’ll be reviewing everything the conservation authority does, and they’ll have the opportunity during that time to consider if any changes in its structure should be made.
