You can take a trip around the world this evening in Kincardine.
Bruce Power is hosting it’s 2009 Multicultural Day at the Davidson Centre.
The event features cultural displays and demonstrations from over 30 countries.
Manager of Government Relations Ross Lamont says the exhibits traditional dress and food and is a great opportunity to go out and experience different cultures.
He says it’s important for many people to know there is a vibrant cultural community in the area.
Many of the people involved with Multicultural Day are Bruce Power employees.
Lamont says the day not only showcases local cultural diversity, it’s also useful for attracting prospective employees from other countries and cultures.
Lamont says diversity is one of the strengths of Bruce Power and Canada is cultural diversity.
He says attracting people from different places with different ideas leads to better solutions.
Multicultural Day runs from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.
Admission is free.
