Today is International Astronomy Day.
The Bruce County Astronomical Society will celebrate with three different events.
Displays, telescopes and local amateur astronomers will be at Heroes Corner at Owen Sound City Hall and Legault’s Independent Grocer in Port Elgin this morning.
There will also be a kids display and exhibit at Grey Roots from 1:30 PM to 4 PM this afternoon.
There will also be more displays in the atrium of OSCVI at the Georgian Bay Symphony concert tonight.
2009 is also the International Year of Astronomy.
The Bruce County Astronomical Society says it will hold almost 100 events this year to mark the occasion.
