Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch is continuing to push the Liberal government for upgrades to Highway 6.
In the legislature recently, Murdoch called on Transportation Minister Jim Bradley to put in more passing lanes on the Highway from Mount Forest, thru Owen Sound all the way to Tobermory.
The Local MPP calls Highway 6 one of the worst in Ontario.
Bradley told the house that significant upgrades have already been done from the 401 up to Mount Forest and more passing lanes are planned for the next few years further north.
Bill Murdoch says the highway south of Mount Forest is much better than it ever was, and he encouraged the Transport minister to keep pressing on with the upgrades this summer.
A passing lane is under construction on Highway 6 between Grey Road 9 and Durham this spring.
Murdoch admits it takes time to put the passing lanes in, but is confident there will be several improvements to the highway over the next five years.
