Grey Highlands has a new fire chief.
Council has named Robert Meads as the head of the newly created Grey Highlands Fire and Emergency Services.
Meads has spent the past three decades with the Halton Hills Fire Department in various roles including chief.
He was born and raised in Durham and also taught elementary school in Osprey Township.
His first day on the job in Grey Highlands is May 19th.
The two existing fire departments will officially become the Grey Highlands Fire Department effective July 1st.
