Sounds like this crook thought a gun might be more trouble than its worth.
Grey County OPP are looking for the suspect responsible for a break in at a cottage south of Dundalk.
The Toronto owner of the cottage didn’t know he’d had a break in until police tracked him down through the firearms information system.
They called to tell him his 12 gauge shotgun had been found, still in its case, in the woods on Grey Road 14 late last week.
While the gun was stolen and discarded. — the break-in artist did make off with about two thousand dollars worth of other property from the cottage.
The list of items includes a couple of heaters, a wood stove and a portable generator.
If you have any information call Grey County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
