The Owen Sound Fall Fair will not have to move from Victoria Park if a new multi million dollar recreation centre is constructed at that location.
Owen Sound Agricultural Society President Phil Bye says from what they have been told, there is more than enough room there for both the new rec centre and the fall fair.
In fact he welcomes the addition of a multi purpose recreation centre and says would complement the annual Fall fair.
Bye says its not only a good thing for the Agricultural Society but other service groups that make use of Victoria Park.
He also says if the city decides to demolish the old coliseum that does not mean the grandstand would be taken down as well.
The grandstand is used for many events during the annual fall fair from the tractor pull to demolition derby.
The Owen Sound Fall Fair usually runs during the first weekend in September and attracts thousands of visitors and participants from just about every sector of agriculture.
