A search is underway on the Bruce Peninsula for a missing Bowmanville man.
19 year old Joshua Wiedrick was reported missing yesterday morning to Bruce Peninsula OPP.
He has been staying alone at a cottage at Saugeen First Nation on the Lake Huron shoreline and was last seen a week ago Saturday.
OPP say his vehicle was found at the cottage but a canoe was missing.
A helicopter was called in and started a search of the shoreline yesterday.
Near Pike Bay, a canoe was spotted and it is believed to be Wiedrick’s.
Today, both an air and water search will be done along the east shore of Lake Huron from Pike Bay to Saugeen First Nation.
Anyone with information about the man’s whereabouts is asked to call the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
