Extra federal infrastructure cash is available and municipalities are scrambling to meet the application deadline for it.
More federal infrastructure money was announced on April 15, but municipalities have to make their applications by May 1st.
Kincardine Council is holding a special council meeting on tonight to make a decision on which projects it will seeking funding for.
Next Monday, Huron-Kinloss Council will do the same.
Mayor Mitch Twolan says council will prioritize which projects they think are the most important to get extra funding.
He says staff have already provided a couple of suggestions.
Twolan says they don’t have a lot of time to get things arranged but appreciates the extra work staff have done to help them prepare for a funding application.
Saugeen Shores Council will be deciding next Monday what projects they will submit for the additional federal funding too.
