Kincardine Mayor Larry Kraemer is being cautious with his comments about the controversy surrounding who supplies the beer for this summer’s Tiverton Old Boys and Girls Reunion.
Local brewer Steelback is not impressed by a decision to serve only canned beer at the municipally-controlled event.
Using only cans shuts Steelback out because it only produces beer in bottles.
Kraemer says he was hoping they could find a way to accomadate Steelback.
However, Kraemer says the decisions should be left to the Tiverton Reunion Committee and it isn’t appropriate for him to interfere.
Kraemer says he has his own ideas about what he’d like to see happen, but wants to let the bulk of the work be done by the committee.
Kraemer does hope that a compromise can be found involving Steelback and the Tiverton Reunion.
