Thousands of people in the region will be walking for good cause this weekend.
The annual MS Walk takes place tomorrow at communities across Canada.
There are more than 60 thousand participants coast to coast in the MS Society’s largest fundraiser.
Officials say the Walk is a critical part of the Societys fundraising efforts to pay for research to find a cure for multiple sclerosis.
An estimated 55 to 75 thousand Canadians live with MS.
The goal this year is to raise 6.7 million dollars in pledges.
There are 5 and 10 kilometre walks in different communities.
In Owen Sound — the walk begins at 10 AM at Timothy Christian School. Officials raised 50 thousand dollars last year.
In Kincardine — the walk begins at 10 AM at the Davidson Centre.
In Sarnia — the walk begins at 10 AM at the Point Edward Optimist Club.
In Collingwood — the 10th annual walk begins at 10 AM at the Royal Canadian Legion — 114 thousand dollars was raised last year.
In Barrie — the walk begins at 9:30 AM at the Army, Navy and Air Force club.
In Midland — the walk begins at 9:30 AM at the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre.
