The golfing season is underway across the region for many courses in the area.
In fact clubs start swinging at The Links at Pipers Glen in Saugeen Shores Friday and an open house is being held Saturday.
Head professional and Manager Glenn Massey says rumours that development means the course won’t be around any longer are not true.
While development will take place — in about five years or so — it will take place around the course.
Meanwhile — many area golf courses and driving ranges are open now — or will be this weekend including Stone Tree, Chippewa, Saugeen, Sauble Golf, Pinewoods, Blackhorse, Kincardine and Ainsdale.
The Owen Sound Golf and Country Club opens Wednesday, and Cobble Beach plans to open its course May first, though the range is open now.
