Kincardine Council has approved a development agreement in the works for six years.
Developer Nancy O’Connor wants to subdivide Lot 70 of the Lake Range.
Mayor Larry Kraemer says the land is in the top northwest corner of the municipality on the Bruce-Saugeen Townline, bordering MacGregor Point Provincial Park and Lake Huron.
Kraemer says O’Connor wants to develop housing on the land across from the park’s southern boundary.
The developer is responsible for 40 thousand dollars in improvements to the Shore Road that will be needed.
Kraemer says it is up to O’Connor to decide when any development will take place on the land.
