A 22 year old Owen Sound man is facing several charges in connection with an assault in March.
Just after 11 PM Saturday night — Owen Sound Police were called about a noisy party in the 500 block of 6th Street East.
The were met by the suspect, who is wanted for the incident that occurred on March 19th, in the 400 block of 10th street east.
About 3 in the morning that day police say two men were viscously assaulted by a group of men who confronted them with bats, shovels and sticks.
Police arrested the 22 year old suspect and is waiting for a bail hearing on two counts of assault with a weapon; two counts of assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation charges.
Sergant Bill Rusk of the Owen Sound Police wants to assure the public that this was not a random act of violence as there appears to be some familiarity between the accused and the intended victims.
