Tickets are on sale now for the 98 the Beach Chantry Chinook Classic Fishing Derby this summer.
Spokesperson Todd Devries says details are in the “Hooked on Huron Magazine” – already mailed out to all past participants as far back as 2005.
If you don’t get the publication, you can find out where to get a ticket from a member of the Lake Huron Fishing Club on line at www.chantrychinook.com.
Devries says this year, the Derby expands into Georgian Bay.
The boundaries on Lake Huron remain from Port Albert to Stokes Bay, but in addition, fishing can take place in the new Georgian Bay boundary from Dundas Point to Cabot Head.
He says weigh stations will be located in Kincardine, Port Elgin, Southampton and Pike’s Bay.
Devries says buying entry tickets early – offers a chance to enter early bird draws in June and July. Prizes include a 4 Person Weekend Get A Away at Tamarac Island Inn or a 6 Person Fishing Charter with Dwindle’s Dream Fishing Charters.
Single tickets are 25 dollars, family tickets are 55 dollars.
The derby runs Saturday July 25th to Saturday August 8th with up to 125 thousand dollars in prizes to be won.
