One of the hotels in Collingwood is offering up a dollar a room to the local hospital.
Starting Friday, Cranberry Resort says it will give Collingwood’s hospital a dollar from the price it charges for its room rentals.
The money will go to the Collingwood G and M Hosptial Foundation, which buys equipment for the hospital to use.
The hospital says about 20 per cent of the people who receive treatment in its Emergency Department are guests to the area.
Cranberry says its 250 rooms could translate into 20-thousand dollars a year for the hospital.
