Sauble Beach has another accolade in its back pocket.
Bruce County tourism manager Chris Hughes says the community was just recently added to the list of Top 10 Beaches in the Country by media giant Canwest News Service.
Hughes says Sauble was named along side of some of the iconic beaches in the country, including Long Beach in British Columbia and Martinique Beach in Nova Scotia.
Hughes says the survey spoke of the family aspect that Sauble Beach has nurtured over the years and also pointed out the good fishing at the mouth of the Sauble River at the northern end of the beach.
Hughes says it’s this type of validation and endorsement that is extremely beneficial, not only for Sauble but for Bruce County as well.
He says the entire coast line is positioned quite well for the affordable family vacation where you won’t break the bank.
He says the timing of the story is perfect, since people are now starting to plan their summer vacations and it should bode well for the entire region.
