West Parry Sound OPP is searching for a suspect, after a vehicle failed to stop for police.
Police say late Monday afternoon, they were called about a vehicle travelling north bound on Highway 400 that had previously failed to stop for officers in Bracebridge near Lake Joseph Road.
Police used a spike belt to stop the vehicle in the median of Highway 400 at Highway 559, where both of the occupants fled from the vehicle.
One person was immediately taken into custody, while a second fled into a wooded area.
The K9 Unit was called in, but the man managed to get away.
The suspect is described as:
- Black
- 6′ tall
- 18-20 years of age
- 150lbs
- thin build
Police say he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and black pants with Adidas written on them.
