16 people are now sick in an outbreak of a gastrointestinal illness in the Medical Unit at Collingwood’s G and M Hospital
Only 3 of those remain in isolation because of their symptoms.
Director of Patient Services Linda MacLeod says there is no reason to think the outbreak has spread beyond the 16 patients.
She adds the visitor restrictions are still in place today, and they have to wait for a minimum of four more days after the last patient becomes symptom-free to lift them.
MacLeod says that will probably not be until next week.
