The Municipality of Kincardine has released the list of how much money council members received for remuneration and expenses in 2008.
Mayor Larry Kraemer tops the list at over 40 thousand dollars.
That amount includes the nearly 28 thousand dollar mayor’s salary, over seven thousand dollars in per diem and expenses from serving on the Bruce Telecom Board, and over five thousand dollars in municipal expenses.
Deputy Mayor Laura Haight received over 24 thousand dollars in salary, per diem, and expenses combined.
Among Councillors, the highest amount went to Guy Anderson at over 22 thousand.
Gordon Campbell received the lowest amount at over 18 thousand dollars, which includes over one thousand for serving on the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority.
A total of over 173 thousand dollars was spent on expenses and remuneration for all nine members of Kincardine Council in 2008.
