Quite the honour for a Hanover grower.
Dave McCallum is now a member of the Giant Pumpkin Commonwealth “Hall of Fame”.
The award was issued in Niagara Falls at the International Giant Vegetable Growers Convention earlier this month.
The honour is based on the continuous contricution and dedication to the sport of giant vegetable growing.
McCallum has been a member of the Port Elgin Pumpkinfest Board of Directors for years.
He was also instrumental in developing the current International weigh off rules and prizing structure.
McCallum received a plaque for his efforts.
