The Blue Mountains Youth Film Festival is being held tonight.
Youth ages 13 to 19 have put together a number of films to be screened at 7 PM at the Blue Mountains Public Library in Thornbury.
The Town’s Youth Advisor Joanna Garland is excited for their first annual event.
She notes there will even be the paparazzi at the event — as local photographers will be on hand.
Garland says she has screened some of the clips and they are outstanding.
The movies have a minimum length of five minutes and a maximum of one hour.
There is also a judging panel of local filmmakers and even officials from the Toronto International Film Festival.
The judges will award prizes to the top three filmmakers.
Garland hopes this event will help get the youth of the Blue Mountains more active in the community.
