You may notice a foul smell if you’re in downtown Collingwood the next couple of days.
The wastewater treatment plant will be shut down starting tonight to repair the chain flight drive mechanism on one of the clarifiers.
Once the part is fixed, the inside of the tank will be manually washed down which will be a messy and smelly job.
The work will start at 10 PM and most of the work will done at night.
The work is expected to be done by the end of the day on Friday.
