There appears to be labour trouble in Hanover.
Conciliation talks are scheduled for Friday between the town and the Canadian Union of Public Employees who represent municipal staff.
The union is seeking a new three or four year agreement with wage increases and similar language to previous deals.
But the town is looking at containing costs, the possible re-deployment of staff and even layoffs due to the current economic downturn.
CUPE officials feel the town and new CAO Mike Dunlop is playing hardball.
