Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP Bill Murdoch is looking for an invitation.
The independent politician says he won’t return to the opposition benches until that comes – and even then – he may not.
Murdoch was booted from the Progressive Conservative caucus back in the fall after complaining that then-leader John Tory should look for another job.
He mused about returning to caucus earlier this month after Tory announced he was stepping down.
But interim Leader Bob Runciman says the 24-member caucus would likely ask Murdoch to meet “certain commitments” before agreeing to take him back.
Murdoch says if that’s what the caucus wants, it’s unlikely he’ll come back.
He says the only people that can put conditions on him are the ones who live in his riding of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound.
