The Township of Huron-Kinloss has developed a site plan for a new retirement home in Lucknow.
Deputy Mayor Wilf Gamble says the building has apartments for seniors and is similar to the Villa in Ripley.
Gamble says the facility will have small departments, supply meals to residents, and will have nurses on staff to provide assistance.
He says they’re starting with 20 units, but there is enough space on the property that the building can be expanded at a later date.
Councillor Lillian Abbott says the owners are hoping to begin construction once financing details for the project are worked out.
