On the heels of a successful environmental forum put on by Community Foundation Grey Bruce and Bayshore Broadcasting in Grey County, a second one is being planned for Bruce County.
Foundation Spokesperson Roberta Brignell says they’re holding a public meeting tonight to brainstorm about how the next conference should unfold.
Brignell says anyone in Bruce County is welcome to attend and express their environmental concerns or offer suggestions.
She says the Foundation is simply a catalyst in the meeting and will not judge what kind of conference there should be.
However she did point out that they will definitely have a youth portion to the conference as they did in Grey County last year.
Brignell says the youth program was one of the best attended portions of the 3-day event and she wants the youth in Bruce County to have the same opportunity.
She says after tonight’s meeting, they hope to set up another public meeting in the Lion’s Head area to cover that portion of the county.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 7 PM at the Colonial Motel in south Port Elgin.
All are welcome and it’s free.
