The family of a missing 57 year old Wasaga Beach woman says they’re ‘dying’ at word police have ended their search of the Nottawasaga River for Penny Warne.
Warne was last seen in mid-February. Police have maintained from the beginning they do no suspect foul play in her disappearance.
Warne’s daughter, Amy, tells Bayshore Broadcasting News, she feels numb at this point, and that it’s hard to be optimistic.
She says she knows the OPP has reasons for ending the search, and knows the officers involved have been working hard.
Constable Peter Leon says the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit has been redeployed to Northern Ontario.
