A well-known Collingwood artist and businessman has passed away.
Murray Clerkson was 75.

Clerkson was born in Saskatchewan, attended art school in Vancouver and lived in Toronto for many years before founding Clerksons Country Furniture in the 1970s in Collingwood.

He donated his studio collection in 2008 to support the new Collingwood Library, his private collection of local artists works has been donated to the Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts.
There is no funeral service.
