A through street will be created between Birchwood Avenue in the new Lake Huron Escape development and the existing Huronview Place.
To keep consistent with 911 numbering and road naming policies, Huronview Place will be renamed Birchwood Avenue.
Notices have been sent to property owners and they are supportive of the plan.
The numbering scheme on the existing houses will be adjusted to take into account the proposed new homes in the area that will be on the same street.
29 homes on the existing section of Birchwood, and 8 homes on Huronview Place are affected.
