Maple Syrup is the key to a fundraiser for the Village of Hope in Zimbabwe.
A Maple Syrup Festival is being held at the Cedar Rail Camp just outside of Chelsey tomorrow.
Committee Member Elaine Schaab says the event runs 9 AM til 2 PM, and includes an all day pancake breakfast and various events.
She says they’ll have sleigh or wagon rides, depending on the weather, live entertainment, maple syrup demonstrations, a bake sale, and penny table.
Kids can enjoy a petting zoo and an Easter Egg Hunt.
Kids 6 to 12 get in for just five dollars, kids 5 and under get in for free, and everyone else gets in for only ten dollars.
There is also a family of rate of 25 dollars for a family of four.
Money raised benefits the Village of Hope.
In it, homes are being built for orphans, the school is being expanded and children continue to be cared for.
