It seems the Wasaga Beach man who is now suing Ontario Lottery and Gaming turned down a settlement worth more than he could have won on his penny slot machine at Georgian Downs.
The CEO of OLG, Kelly McDougald, tells the Toronto Star Paul Kusznirewicz was offered 10-thousand dollars for his trouble with the Buchaneer machine December 8th.
Lights flashed and music sounded on the slot machine as it said Kusznirewicz had won 42-million dollars.
McDougald tells the Star, it could have read 42 billion — it was an error in the machine.
OLG says the maximum payout from that particular machine is 9-thousand, 25 dollars.
Kusznirewicz filed suit with the OLG earlier this week, demanding the 42.9 million in winnings and 3 million dollars in damages.
