The search for a missing Wasaga Beach woman is still continuing.
The OPP’s Underwater Search and Recovery Unit are back in the water today, looking for any signs of Penny Warne.
The 57 year old Wasaga Beach woman was reported missing on February 15th.
OPP constable Peter Leon says now that the ice is breaking up, and the water is flowing in the Nottawasaga, they will hopefully have a better chance of finding clues.
He says it makes it much safer for the divers as well.
Leon says no stone will be left unturned, and they’re hoping something positive will be found in the water as to what might have happened to Warne.
He says they plan to be in the area until Penny Warne is found, and that anybody who might have information call the OPP.
Leon adds they have gotten plenty of tips from people, but can’t speak to what they are because the investigation is ongoing.
Leon adds divers will decide tonight or tomorrow morning whether to search again tomorrow — it will depend on much of the river they were able to search today.
