The celebration is on — St. Patrick’s Day is being celebrated around the world.
Bayshore Broadcasting News contacted an Irish pub in Londonderry or as the locals prefer, Derry and talked to bartender Colin McGuire on Soundingboard on 98 the Beach.
Celebrations there were already in full swing, following a morning parade and the pub was packed with 150 patrons.
McGuire says St. Patrick’s Day there is part of a week-long festival featuring parades, musical enterainment and dancing, along with sporting events.
He says the festivities will continue through the weekend.
