Road blocks have now been removed after earlier police activity on Queen Street in Kincardine.
South Bruce OPP are not releasing many details, but tell Bayshore Broadcasting news they were called to an assault at a home on the street.
Police say ‘due to the nature of their investigation’ they decided to reroute traffic in the area in the interest of public safety.
Road blocks went up and Queen was closed between Lampton Street and Durham Market North to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
The street was opened back up sometime before 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon.
Police say a 24 year old man has been arrested and is being held for bail in relation to their investigation.
There’s been no word on any injuries in the assault, nor any definite details surrounding the seriousness of the incident.
Anyone with information that can assist police is asked to call the South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
