The 2009 Operating and Capital Budget for Wasaga Beach has been passed.
It amounts to 44.2 million dollars, which is compared with 43.9 million dollars in 2008.
27.2 million is for the Operating Budget, and 17 million dollars is devoted for Capital.
Treasurer Lynn Morton says there will also only be a tax increase of 2.8 percent this year.
She says they aimed to have a very conservative budget this year, to accommodate the small increase for people in Wasaga Beach.
Morton says some of the capital projects in the budget include the flood remediation plan, as well as a new fire hall.
She says they still have the 4 year forecast to work on though, and hopefully something will be in front of council in April.
The 4 year forecast is various capital projects from 2010 to 2013, and looking at how to finance them without a large tax increase each year, and making sure the reserve funds are in good shape.
