The 2009 Haywood Ski Nationals are underway at Highlands Nordic in Duntroon.
Highlands Owner Larry Sinclair says things have been going very well, even with the warm conditions.
He says the volunteers did a great job keeping the trails in good condition, but they had to close them to people who wanted to practice to make sure they are in good shape for the rest of the event.
Sinclair says this makes sure the course is preserved, and everybody understood the decision.
He says the weather tonight is looking promising as well.
The event continues until March 15th.
Sinclair says the team from Highlands is doing great, and everyone is having a great experience, and they’ve seen some great results so far.
